Lewis had forgotten to wrap Patrick's gift, and was forced to recycle one of the other boys' envelopes, but he did find a decal that perfectly reflected Patrick's pride in his homeland, as well as his attitude toward life.
The piece de resistance for the evening was a new fishing rod with its own utility case and carrying case.  (The case proved to be a good home for Patrick's new sticker too!)  Next time, the fish better just watch out!
Next came the obligatory birthday spanking--rather a benign event this year.  Last year Patrick got wrestled to the floor by his friends to receive a proper spanking.
Finally came a birthday cake like no other we'd ever seen before.  Patrick's fantasy birthday cake this year was a strawberry cake layered with a cheesecake.  The chef had her doubts, as the cheesecake layer proved to be quite heavy, but the strawberry layers held their own, and the cake was pronounced a success!
Patrick's birthday card:

"When they made you, they broke the mold...too bad they didn't take your head out first."

Nobody said that we were a nice family.
The rest of the party consisted of the boys prowling around the yard and the neighborhood with flashlights, where they were later discovered at, ahem, 04:30 AM.  So Patrick's last present was a birthday grounding of his allowance, but given the cash flow during the party, he didn't miss it so much.
