| Re-sawing stock for planking... made the jig myself - one of my crowning achievements. Doesn't look like much, but is it sweeeeet!! I'll get three planks from one 1" piece of stock. |
| Here's my $800 sander - wow! That's a pile of money! "It's the last tool I will ever need!" Honest! I'm starting to sand the roughs down to 5/32 thick. That's a thin hull, huh! Well, it is an 18ft canoe that weighs 75lbs - finished..... |
| Mass production - I've found that I will probably have to increase my dust collecting capabilities. The sander looks like it will cost me more than $800......I don't know how I could accomplish the task any other way, though - a hand plane maybe? :) |
| Still have a long ways to go - these are all rough.....350 lineal feet - the canoe requires 325. |
