| Reggie Merrill - Direct decendent of Darius Merrill, founder of Merrrill, New York. My inspiration for this project. Reggie once owned a boathouse on the lake, where he built the "Chateaugay Skiff" - fashioned after the "St. Lawrence Skiff". He also repaired and restored numerous wood/canvas canoes. Reggie is my mother's cousin - I consider him blood..... |
| I could spend hours talking with this man - listening to him recount tales of past life, on the lake. His life, and way of living, is so simple and pure - an icon to the community, someone for whom I have much respect and admiration. |
