Effects of World War 1

Economic:
World War1 has gone through a lot of
economic effects. New weapons for battle were being made, which made America
very powerful. But other countries came up their own weapons like the British V
Tank. It was made out of metal and contained a Ricardo Engine that could make it
travel as fast as 5 mph. America also had there own way of war fare. They made trenches in the
ground to act as hide outs and as camp. They out smarted many of their enemies
with this. Military airplanes were built to take action in the air. Other ways
of War fare was the use of Poisonous gases to smoke out the enemies and blind
them in the moment of battle.
Social:
One major social effect form the war
caused the United States to lose a lot of money. A lot of the money that was
being spent went to the people who fought in the war. The total amount that was
spent for the war, cost about $186 Billion. So all those new weapons, tanks,
ships, and
airplanes played a big role in ending this war. The money was also used for
sending out flyers and messages for needed people for the war. Most of the
banners that were advertised told people to take as much as you can from
food and clothing so that the soldiers could have some for the war. With a lot
of them out there, they are bound to need some.
Political:
During the war, women's role
changed for the better of all those soldiers that went to war. The Women were
used as nurses to help those that were wounded, and also maids to serve food,
clothing, water, weapons, and other useful stuff for the war. Anything that
needed help, the women would be there. So women played a pretty big role on how
the war was going to turn out. To end the war, the League of Nations was formed.
It was a part of Woodrow Wilson's plan for a 14 point peace plan. The 14 point
plan consist of 14 proposals of fair rules. One of those rules states that the
winner of the war may not take land from the loser. It was a treaty between the opposing countries to promote peace. It was created
by the "Big Four" that included Lloyd George of Britain, Orlando of Italy,
Clemenceau of France, and Woodrow Wilson of the U.S. They all made a treaty
to end WWI and to prevent others from occurring in the future.
