ABOUT US


The Rose Society of WA is a friendly group of people who are joined by their love of the rose. The Society seeks to develop the cultivation of the "Queen of Flowers" and to assist the public and members in all aspects of its cultivation.


Metropolitan Area
Regular meetings
, including monthly competitions, are held on the third Thursday of each month (excluding January, July and December) at 8pm in the Uniting Church Hall, McDonald St, Como.
Monthly meetings incorporate interesting talks and demonstrations on all aspects of rose growing and showing as well as other interesting horticultural subjects.

South West Group
Our South West Group of members meet every 3rd Sunday of the month at 10am, at the Senior Citizens Hall,
8 Mardo Avenue, Australind.

All visitors are most welcome.

Public Rose Shows in Spring and Autumn and various displays and pruning demonstrations are arranged each year.

MEMBERSHIP

Single or Joint (2 persons) Membership costs just $25 pa.
For this, members receive a quarterly journal, which includes cultural notes, and a copy of the Australian Rose Annual. Not forgetting the informative and enjoyable monthly meetings of course.
If you would like to join, please forward your cheque or money order to the Treasurer. Don't forget to include your "Title" (eg Mr, Mrs, Mr&Mrs, Dr etc.), "First" and "Last Names" and "Address".

PUBLICATIONS

Our own publication, "The Rose Garden", is especially written by our members for Western Australian conditions and covers all aspects of rose growing. Cost is just $5 per copy plus 85c postage within Australia.
