IRISH GUARDS The Guards Museum
1st Bn. Regular. 04 Aug 1914 in London in the Wellington Barracks in the 4th (Guards) Brigade, 2nd Division. 2nd Bn. Formed at Warley on 18 Jul 1915, went to France and joined the 2nd (Guards) Brigade, Guards Division. 3rd (Reserve) Bn. Formed at Warley in 1914 as the 2nd Bn. Became the 3rd Bn in Jul 1915 when the 2nd Bn was formed. Stayed in the UK and supplied drafts to the Battalions overseas.
