Einstien stated that matter and energy are equivalent. If matter warps space-time to cause gravity, so can energy. I think that "fixed" or "static" energy may produce the most gravitational warping (curvature). Solid matter such as the rock and metal of a planet will produce a strong gravitational field, or curvature. I consider these terms interchangeable. If you set up a properly configured high voltage electrostatic field, a POLARIZED gravitational warp will form. Thomas Townsend Brown's original gravitator worked, but not very well, because the capacitor plates were square, without staggered plate/dielectric. Staggering the capacitor elements allows the (warp) field to flow more easily. Since this is a capacitor, then it is possible that it can hold a charge virtually indefinately while producing polarized gravity and thrust. This does not violate physical laws. Planets produce gravity indefinitely because they are a closed, spherical mass of fixed, or static mass and energy. A cylindrical field of electrostatic charge shaped by the configuration of the capacitor array could produce a gravitational "siphon effect". It has actual curvature in it's geometry but it has the pronounced dimension of LENGTH It produces gravity like a planet, but unlike a planet, it's gravitational warp is polarized; positive at one end and negative at the other. The Warp Drive Engines we've all seen in Star Trek are much more complex than the real life version. Such technology would put the oil companies out of business and wreck havoc with the world economy.
