Greetings to all
who come to visit here. I am a Japanese-to-English translator who worked
in Japan almost continually from 1968 to 1992 in a variety of
capacities including teaching in a Christian junior-senior high
school, working with a number of churches and social work agencies,
and serving as a staff person on the National Staff of the YWCA of Japan.
While in Japan, I also wrote a variety of articles in both Japanese
and English and translated and edited materials for two or three
English language publications. I returned to the U.S. in
1992, and founded Warren Word Work to provide language services, including translating,
editing, word processing, and desktop publishing. I believe that my
experiences in Japan are a great asset to my ability to translate
meaning rather than just words.
I offer fast, high-quality
translation services. My specialties include marketing/advertising,
personal documents, entertainment, womens issues, education, religion,
social issues, and general subjects. I work on a Power Mac G3
computer, using primarily MS Office 98, Acrobat Reader 4.0, and PageMaker 6.5, but also have a
PC with MS Office 97 available. Please feel free
to peruse my web site, and contact me with your translation or editing
needs.
