Animals
All of the animals have a type of rating from 1-5. This will increase as they begin to like you more. Don't forget to also bring in all of your animals the day before rain.
Dog
When you first start the game you don't get a dog yet. There are actually two dogs to choose from. One is the same dog that's in every other HM game, or a huskey dog. All you have to get a dog is put some food in the dog bowl near your house every night. Leave the dog alone for a few weeks, then when you think you've given him enough food you can try to approch him. If he runs away, then don't follow him. Instead just keep on giving him more food. But, when he does let you near him than go ahead and catch him. No matter what he'll always stay your dog. You can also teach your dog tricks using the flute.
Tricks:
Bark- Left, Right, Left, Right
Heel- Left, Right, Right
Jump- Left, Up, Right
Lay- Up, Down, Down
Round up Cows- Right, Left, Right
Sit- Up, Left, Down
Sit Up- Down, Up, Up
Horse
When you get a horse it will stay in the barn, but when it likes you a lot you can ride it anywhere. To get your horse you have to become good friends with Bob, and do the part-time job. If you want a certian horse from the ranch, then on your first day of work there make sure that the horse you want is the ONLY HORSE that you take care of that day. The next day you can take care of all the other horses too, and you should get the horse that you want. However, if you don't do this then the horse you get will be random.
Chicken
Chickens are the most easiest animal to get. Once you buy one, just incubate it's eggs, and you can get all the rest free! It will take 3 days for the egg to hatch, and then it will take another6 days for the chick to become a chicken.

The cow can be bought at Brownie Ranch. You should also buy a brush and a milker from the Tool Shop to help take care of your cow.
