If You Can
If you can stand tall in
the face of conflict,
you will be ready for the struggle
If you can feel fear and
continue,
you will have begun your confrontation
When your stomach is in
knots and you persevere,
you may become a fighter
If you can dig deep and
strive past your limitations,
you will realize new sensations
If you can dig deeper still,
you will become a soldier
If you can finish with you
held high,
you have become an iron gladiator
If you can look ahead with
favor to the next confrontation,
you have adopted a Warriors' way of life
If when you feel the pain
and appreciate it as a sign of your efforts,
you will have accepted that life
