They Ask Me Why
Ask me if I feel pain and
I ask you what is gained with no price
Ask me what drives me so,
I ask you to feel the force with which I am driven
Ask if I do not feel fear,
I ask you what you will abandon for fears' sake
Ask what I will forsake,
I ask you what I will have, should I disown myself
Ask why I go on when I am
battered so, I tell you that I accept a Warriors bane
