Review: What's the sequel to Into the Forge have that might stem some sort of interest? A mysterious copper coin that is not really important at all with the story but it acts as an escape goat, two Warrows who unnecessarily cry at any moment there's a death, pointless dialogues, stretching of the point of the story, unexcused emotional scenes that are not worthwhile, and incomprehensible ending are all negative aspects of this book. Yes, it has all these negatives from the other book. It's like Dennis McKiernan tries to spark excitement at the expense of his characters whose characteristics could have been better exploit. He uses them without any regard whatsoever. What I mean is that he uses all these different races of characters and putting them all together in a struggle that seems ridiculous in a story that is not interesting. The characters that are suppose to be mysterious aren't mysterious at all. There are no suspense, intellectual dialogues, or realistic characters. The only thing I thought that was somewhat interesting were the Silver Wolves. But other than that, the characters are not believable at all and everything that they do resembles that of a Saturday cartoon. There was no realism in this book, just lots of annoyance. It was a really, truly disappointing novel in my opinion.
