A Balanced Integrated Education.
It should be a comprehensive effort to realize
total Moslem Education,
It should be a balanced concept of spiritual
and logical aspects in the establishment of curriculum and syllabus,
The process will generate the mechanism of
continues improvement towards individual and collective progress,
This path towards the perfect objective of
complete submission to Allah
as individual and community cluster.
An integrated personality has a capability to
achieve knowing and being attitude; having power to balance its own willing and
the purpose of Moslem social – life, placing the knowledge of science and
technology as the important role in generating the human-welfare,
All of it is under the control of Allah’s
Sovereignty, guided to the total Welfare in this world and hereafter.
Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them,
reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: While I was asleep I
saw (in a dream) a cup containing milk being presented to me. I took out of
that until I perceived freshness being reflected through my nails. Then I
presented the left over to 'Umar bin Al-Khattab. They said: Allah's Messenger:
How do you interpret it? He said: This implies Knowledge. (Bukhari-Muslim)

The Dimensions.
The spirit of Islamic Education should be the
core of Curriculum based
on the principle of total submission to Allah
swt.,
There is no god but Allah swt., all His
Creation day and night worships
none but Him,
This universal guidance sent for the sake and
benefit of all humanity.
It is not a new dimension of any philosophy, or
a new innovation on human civilization,
The spirit Islamic Education is totally
oriented and directed to a dignity message through Nabi Muhammad saw.,
completed and perfected all prior messages, as the seal of earlier prophets
This comprehensiveness of the perfection covers
all dimensions of humanity taught and behavior, morality judgment, and the
knowledge of attitudes,
self-restraint and self-control against
temptation of fornication, corruption
and drugs.
“Thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee
the interpretation of stories (and events) and perfect His favor to thee and to
the posterity of Yacob,
even as He perfected it to thy fathers Abraham
and Isaac aforetime.
For thy Lord is full of knowledge and wisdom”.
(Yusuf: 6).

Contribution to New Paradigm.
Islamic Education should more emphasize
spiritual values over materialism,
in spite of it is an integrated in one concept
as ‘ummatic civilization’,
The sacred Islamic values have its prominent
role in the human resources development, individuals and groups.
This sacred value generates the strategic and
operational way of behaving
and way of life.
Verily, Islamic faith and practices emerges as
its own civilization among
the changing global way of thinking,
There will be a significant influence on
attitudes, morality and operational process of the humanity establishment,
It will be an excellent respond of current and
future requirement in resolving
more complex and multifaceted changing problem
and solution.
The Islamic approach and method is unlimited in
time and affirmation,
for it has ‘kaffah’ or holistic comprehensive
system,
The socio cultural and human civilization, in
all time has a limited space, anyhow, to across the borderline of Allah’s will and
guidance.
“Do they just wait for the final fulfillment of
the event? On the day
the event is finally fulfilled, those who
disregarded it before will say:
The apostles of our Lord did indeed bring true
(tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we
be sent back?
Then should we behave differently from our
behavior in the past.
In fact they will have lost their souls, and
the things they invented will leave them in the lurch”. (Al A’raf: 53). Bandung, 8 Ramadhan 1428 H.
