The Noble House of
K're
..........According to t'Kre family oral traditions, The Great House of Kre traces it's origins back to the time before the Great Exodus. Family legends indicate that the family line has descended from W'llm t'Kre, a younger son of one of the ancient Vulcan noble houses. According to family legend, the entire population of this Vulcan house gathered to protect a nearby ancient Vulcan monastery from the Orion pirates during the Great Akh. Following a devastating battle, of all the defenders, only a gravely wounded W'llm and a young healing apprentice, E'bth, survived. In spite of her lack of formal training in the healing arts, E'bth was able to heal W'llm of his near fatal wounds. Together, they managed to survive the difficult period following the battle and, in keeping with the best romantic traditions of the Rihanh, fell madly in love. Wishing for a safe home in which to raise a family, the young couple joined the Declared on their trek from Vulcan to ch'Rihan. Twelve children were born and grew to adulthood during the voyage, each possessing the intelligence, wit, and determination of their parents. The family grew exponentially in size and strength, making marital and political alliances with most of the other noble Rihannsu houses each generation.
..........On settlement, the Great House K're was one of those initially built on the southern most continent of ch'Rihan, at the site of the present city of Dinalla. There the stately Great Hall Kre, with it's granite vistas and formal gardens, stands in solitude on the edge of an impregnable cliff overlooking the bustling harbor of this famous seaport.
..........Over time, the descendants of W'llm and E'bth continued to prosper greatly with each generation of the Great House serving the Empire to the best of their talents and abilities as military commanders, statesmen, scientists, and physicians. Among the more famous of the family's military commanders was L'ynl t'Kre, Riov of the Tam-Tor v' Stelam, the famed military strategist who devised the plan that netted for the Empire the capture of the USS Stone Mountain during one of the glorious battles of the first Terran War. L'ynl's great grand-daughter, Erei-Riov T'Manda t'Kre (of the Praetorian Guards) was decorated multiple times during her service to the Empire (most conspicuously for meritorious personal service to the Great Fvillha Tebaurek tr'Khnialmnae). J'hthn tr'Kre, (Riov of the heroic Aehallh) gave his life, and the lives of his entire crew, to ensure the safety and, eventual victory, of the Ri'hannsu fleet during the Tomed incident.
.........In addition to their exceptional record of military service, the t'Kre family has never lacked for statesmen or ruling council members. Over the lifetime of the Empire, the family counts among it's number 30 Ambassadors, 24 governors, and 3 Praetors. Fvillha Y'ncy tr'Kre, famed scientist, statesman, and founder of the University Ra'tleighfi reigns within the hearts of the Ri'hannsu as one of the most beloved of all the Praetors. Of the current generation of t'Kre statesmen, the most well known is Kiitha (Ambassador) R'lnd tr'Kre, Chief Praetorian advisor who is currently on a fact-finding mission on Terra and Vulcan.
............For whatever reason, the Great House of Kre boasts more outstanding physicians than all of the other noble houses combined (with spectacularly exceptional physicians arising about once every third generation). Chief among these have been E'viess t'Kre (discoverer of the cure for Marethesia), Ecurai t'Kre (famed biologist/physician who first identified the virus responsible for Ar'Kglie [Argielian Plague], and Tel'is t'Kre (famed geneticist and researcher whose work was instrumental in the discovery of the ssifefva). Kiiitha R'lnd tr'Kre's youngest daughter, Ro'wena Ariennye des D'Cado t'Kre, follows in her grandmother's Tel'is' distinguished medical footsteps as well. Her career has been highlighted by an impressive listing of military and medical service to the Empire including Personal Physician to the Empress, Chief Medical Officer of the IRV StarDancer, and most recently, Chief Medical Officer of the IRV Rakata. A surprising amount of success at ambassadorial treaty negotiations, has recently led to Praetorial appointment of Damascae Minesci Ro'wena as ambassador in her own right.
