Western Australian Singapore Business Council Members' Night 26th September 2001
The Western Australian Singapore Business Council hosted a Networking/Members Night in the Camelot Room at the Red Castle We had a good turnout of members and guests for this event. This event presented a tremendous opportunity for new and existing members to business network and get in touch with what's happening in the WASBC. The President of the WASBC, Mrs Cecilia Wee was on a business trip and was unable to attend. She conveyed her sincere apologies and sent her greetings and congratulations to all the members who were present. Mr Willie Rasiah, the Vice President of the Western Australian Singapore Business Council, presided over the event and the presentation of the membership certificates. The Vice President kicked off the event with the President's message and the introduction of the WASBC committee members. He then proceeded to present the Corporate and Individual Members' Certificates. The members upon receiving the certificates were encouraged to introduce themselves and their business. It was certainly a great marketing opportunity and some members made the most of it. The new Western Australian Singapore Business Council website was introduced. WASBC members and the public alike can now log in for the latest news and events. The Corporate and Individual membership application forms can be downloaded directly from the website to be completed. The website will be updated regularly and will soon incorporate an on-line Members Directory with external links to their business websites. Future WASBC Newsletters can be downloaded from the website as well. It is envisioned that the website will be used more extensively in the future for members to stay in touch and be connected.
