Mrs. Mary Augusta Buck, 80, widow of John H. Buck, passed to her eternal rest Monday evening, May 2, at the Presque Isle General Hospital were she had been a patient for several months. She was born in Washburn, the daughter of Job and Anne Crouse Churchill and one of a family of fifteen. During her young womanhood she was married to John H. Buck of Woodstock, N. B. Most of their married life was spent in Washburn. For several years she clerked in the Crouseville General Store and also served as postmaster. She was a affectionately known as "Aunt Mary" to a wide circle of relatives and friends. She is suruived by two sisters, Mrs. S. P. Crouse of Somerville, Mass., and Mrs. H. W. Beardsly of Presque Isle; four brothers, Samuel and Marshall Churchill, both of Seaside. Oregon; Miles Churchill of Peabody, Mass., and Frank Churchill of New Hampshire. Funeral Services were held at the Crouseville Adventist Church, Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock. Rev. Frank Toothe officiated. Interment was in the Crouseville cemetery.
