WASHBURN, Dec. 1 [1941] -- Prayers were conducted for Stanley E. Waugh at his home on School street. Wednesday. by Rev, McFarlane of the Episcopal church in Presque Isle and afterwards the body was taken to Andover, N. B. where a double funeral was held at the Episcopal church for Mr. Waugh and his mother, Mrs. Edward Waugh. who also was killed in the tragic accident, Monday. Interment also was made at Andover.

There was a profusion of flowers at the simple service in the home, testifying to the esteem in which Mr. Waugh was held. He came to Washburn fifteen years ago and had been engaged in farming and was a prominent horse and cattle dealer in this section. He was a member of Benjamin Masonic lodge of Andover, N. B., also a member of the Episcopal church in that place.

He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Stella Waugh; two children, Joyce and James; and three children by a former marriage, Mary and Clinton, who have been attending; school in Bangor, and John. who is married and living in East Corinth.

Out-of-town friends and relatives present were Mrs. George London Woodstock, N. B.; Mrs. Ed Dyer Bath, N. B.; Mr. and Mrs. John Rediker, Mrs. Preston Armstrong Fort Fairfield; Mrs. Bertha Woodman, Presque Isle: Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ames, Blaine; Mary and Clinton Waugh and Jerry Kelley of Bangor; Mr. and Mrs. John Waugh East Corinth.
