CORINNA, July 23 [1942] -- Herbert W. De Veber who has been elected principal of Corinna Union Academy was formerly of Newburyport, Mass. He is a graduate of Newburyport High school, Sanborn seminary in Kingston, N. H., and Colby college, class of 1936. While at Colby he starred in track, baseball and basketball. He was awarded the Condon Medal and is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and Kappa Phi Kappa, a national honor society.
His teaching experiences includes two years as a teacher, coach at Washburn high school, one year as teacher coach of Rockland high school and two years as principal of Warren high school. He is married and has one child.
