Mrs. Harmon was given in marriage by her father, Hanford Holmes. She wore a gown of white chiffon and long veil. She carried shower bouquet of American Beauty roses and white snapdragons with white sweet peas. Miss Pauline Pangburn was maid of honor. She wore a gown of ice-blue brocaded taffeta and carried a bouquet of white carnations.
Miss Velva Richards and Miss Audrey Hersey were bridesmaids. They were gowned in pink net over satin, and carried colonial bouquets of primroses and clclamens.
Little Patricia Murphy was flower girl and wore a white taffeta gown
Pfc. Bob Baughman from Pennsylvania was best man. Pfc. Al Foley from New York and Pfc. Joe Waters, South Carolina, were head ushers, assisted by Ervin Holmes, Arnold Williams and Joe Bell.
The wedding march was played by Mrs. Robert Pinkham. During the ceremony vocal solo, "The Sunshine in Your Eyes"' and "O Promise Me" was rendered by Mrs. Harry Anderson. Miss Phyllis Clark and Miss Juanita Parks were in charge of the gift table. Miss Vergie Kelley was in charge of the guest book.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the church dining room. Refreshments were served. An attractive bride's cake, made by Mrs. Harry Wright, was cut and Served by the bride.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Parkville Mo. where they spent two weeks with the bride-groom's parents.
