Marie M. Munson Becomes Bride of Gerald A. Everett

WASHBURN, June 231-- Miss Marie Merriel Munson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earle Munson of Washburn, became the bride of Gerald Allen Everett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Everett of Woodland, Thursday, June 15th, in the Washburn Baptist church. The Rev. Nelson Felch, pastor, officiated at the double ring ceremony which was attended by immediate relatives and close friends of the couple. The church was decorated with fern, bridal wreath and baskets of cut flowers. "The Old Refrain," was played by Miss Eunice Lantz, violinist, accompanied by Miss Witha Jardine. The traditional wedding marches were played by Miss Jardine.

Mrs. Dominick Laemo, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Robert Everett, brother of the bridegroom, was best men. Ushers were Clifford Butterfield, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Malcolm Holts, cousin of the bride-groom.

The bride was gowned in white taffeta en train with satin tulip applique. Her long net veil trimmed with lace was caught to a bandeau of seed pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and snapdrapons.

Mrs. Laemo wore a floor-length gown of pink taffeta and a shoulder length pink net veil. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations.

A reception was held at the bridegroom's home in Woodland immediately following the ceremony, with more than 300 guests present. Mrs. Guilford Butterfield was in charge of the guest book, and Miss Witha Jardine and Mrs. Quentin Jardine presided over the gift table.

Assisting in the service were Mrs. Victoria Wilder, Miss Marian Munson, Miss Lois Munson, Mrs. Walter Norbeck, Mrs. Elmer Norbeck, Mrs. Seldon Holts, Mrs. Nathan Lewin, Mrs, Clifford McIntire, and Mrs. Linwood Peary.

The couple left for a brief wedding trip to Portage Lake. The bride traveled in an aqua, wool suit with, white accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Everett will make their home in Woodland, where the bridegroom is engaged in farming.
