Miss Margaret Umphrey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Umphrey, and Gerald Linwood Vaughn, Jr., son of G. L. Vaughn of Dixfield, were married Tuesday, June 20, [1944] at 1 o'clock at the Baptist parsonage. The Rev. N. E. Felch performed the double-ring ceremony.

Mrs. Willard Umphrey was matron of honor and Willard Umphrey, brother of the bride, was best man.

The bride was graduated from Washburn High School also from Farmington State Normal School, where she majored in home economics. For the past two years she has taught at Stratton.

The bride wore a traveling suit of sky blue with corsage of white roses. They left immediately for Dixfield, where the groom is employed.
