Grover-Pettengill

CARIBOU, Nov. 8 [1944] -- Miss Ina T. Pettengill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy L. Pettengill of Caribou, became the bride of Pvt. Kenneth Grover of Danville Jct., Saturday afternoon at 2:39. The single ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Herman A. Grant at the Presque Isle Methodist parsonage. The young couple was attended by the bride's parents.

The bride was attired in a brown and gold ensemble with a corsage of yellow pompoms. Mrs. Grover is a graduate of Washburn High school, class of 1943. At present she is employed at the Presque Isle Air Base.

Pvt. Grover is the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Grover of Danville Jct. He attended school in Auburn. He is stationed at the Presque Isle Air Base.

Following the ceremony a luncheon was served at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Josie Pettengill, and they left on the afternoon train for the bride-groom's home at Danville Jct.

Those attending the wedding ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Pettengill and daughter, Anne, of Caribou. Mrs. Josie Pettengill and Miss Doris Pettengill of Presque Isle.
