KENNEY-LAVWAY

Miss Alice Louise Lavway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lavway, of Crouseville, and Linwood Kenney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Kenney, Mapleton, were united in marriage in a pretty church wedding Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, June 17, [1945] at the Adventist Christian Church, Crouseville. The Rev. Martin Rasmussen, pastor, performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore white organdy over silk with sweetheart neck and short sleeves with fiingertip veil. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses with baby's breath and lily of the valley.

Miss Virginia Thompson, as maid of honor, wore a green and white gown of flowing net and

jersey with sweetheart neck. She carried an arm bouquet of mixed carnations and larkspur.

The mother of the bride, also the groom's mother, were gowned in navy with white accessories.

The immediate families attended the ceremony. The wedding march was played by Miss Myrtle Flewelling.

A reception was held at the bride's home, Friday evening with nearly 300 guests present. The guest book was in charge of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Beatrice McBurnie, of Presque Isle. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Alonzo Flewelling and Mrs. Woodbury Brewer. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received.

The bride is a graduate of Washburn High School in the class of 1945. Following a week's honeymoon at Portage Lake the young couple will live at their home on the State Road, Mapleton, where the groom is engaged in farming.
