DECORATED -- Harold V. Wilder of Weshburn, who was recently promoted to the rank of staff sergennt, has received his fourth Bronze Star for meritorious service and the Presidential Citation. S-Spt. Wilder is a membcr of the Ninth Tactical Air Force operating in Germany. He is a hydraulic specialist on P-38 Lightning planes in the Photo Reconnaisance Squadron in Col. James Smelley's 363rd. Tactical Reconnaisance group, the first air force organization to operate from a bass in Germany.

S-Sge. Wilder graduated from Washburn high school in 1941, and was engaged in farming until his enlistment in the Air Force in 1942. He has been overseas since April, 1944. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Rilder, reside in Washburn.
