MRS. DAVID SMITH
Miss Hope Smith was maid of honor and Philip Eaton was best man. The bride was attractive. In an aqua blue crepe street length dress with white accessories. She wore a corsage of white roses. The maid of honor wore rose crepe with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. Mrs. Martin, mother of the bride, wore blue and white sheer with white accessories and a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Smith, mother of the bridegroom was dressed in rose and white with white accessories and a corsage of pink and blue delphinium.
A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents in Charleston for those attending the ceremony. A beautifully decorated wedding cake, made by Mrs. Clyde Lovejoy, was served, after the bride and bridegroom had cut the traditional first slice. Miss Ruth Smith and Mrs. Clyde Lovejoy served. Mrs. Ora Libby, Jr., presided over the gift tables and Mrs. Philip Eaton was in charge of the guest book. Mr. and Mrs. Smith left for a wedding trip the destination of which was not announced. The bride traveled in a lime green silk suit with white accessories and a corsage d white rose buds.
Mrs. Smith was graduated from Washburn high school. Mr. Smith is a, graduate of East Corinth academy and is employed at the Fay and Scott Machine shop in Dexter.
Guests attending the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Philip Eaton, and Michael of East Corinth; Miss Helen Gordon of Hermon; Mrs. Walter Smith and Miss Ruth Smith of Kenduskeag; Miss Hope Smith of Old Town: Mr. and Mrs. Ora Libby. Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Martin, Mrs. Clyde Lovejoy, Mrs. Georgia Lovejoy, Mrs. Olney Higgins, Herbert Martin and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dority, all of Charleston.
