Against a background of evergreen, stood an archway decorated with pink, white and red roses, placed on the platform facing the congregation. Mrs. Sarah Twist of Bangor played the traditional wedding marches and incidental music. A trio composed of Ruby Knox, Phyllis Clark and Idella Kelley sang two selections.
Mrs. J. H. McDonald of Moncton, N, B., was matron of honor, the bridesmaids were: Mrs. Basil Dickinson, sister of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Winnie Sparks, his sister-in-law.
Steve Turcot of Chelsea, Mass., was best man, the groomsmen were Basil Dickinson and Winnie Sparks. The ushers were Joseph Bell and Lyman Rossignol.
The bride was charming in white sheer crepe over satin with long train. Her veil of bridal illusion was caught to a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white roses, baby breath and sweet peas.
Mrs. McDonald wore pale yellow crepe with blue delphinium head dress and white veil.
The bridesmaids, Mrs. Dickinson, wore pink net over satin and Mrs. Sparks wore pale blue crepe each carrying a colonial bouquet of mixed sweet peas with headdress of sweet peas and white veil.
The flower girls, Roberta Pinkham and Mary Elizabeth Sparks wore frocks of pink net over white satin.
The bride's mother was gowned in grey hemberg with mauve accessories, wearing a corsage of mauve sweet peas.
The bridegroom's mother wore navy blue crepe with white accessories and a corsage of sweet peas.
A reception which was attended by 250 people was held in the basement of the church immediately after the ceremony.
The bride's table with pastel flowers and lighted tapers was centered with a decorated wedding cake.
Mrs. Robert Pinkham was in charge of the guest book. Miss Naida Valley, Miss Marguerite Watson, Miss Mana and Miss Joan Debow, sister of the bride, presided over the gift table.
Mr. and Mrs. Sparks left the next day on a short wedding trip.
Mrs. Sparks was educated in Moncton, N. B., and attended the Zion Bible school in East Providence, R. I.
Mr. Sparks is a graduate of Caribou high school and graduated this spring from the Zion Bible school of East Providence, R. I. He is planning to enter the ministry.
