MRS. HAROLD R. QUIMBY

Martina Myshrall Becomes Bride

MARS HILL, Oct. 19 [1945] -- An attractive wedding ceremony was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Sanborn Oct. 16th, when Martina Myshrall of Washburn, became the bride of Harold R. Quimby of Blaine. Rev. Earl W. Beal, pastor of the Mars Hill United Baptist church, performed the double ring service.

The young couple stood before a background of evergreen and flowers.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Stairs, of Washburn, attended the couple.

The bride wore a brown suit and carried a corsage of carnations.

The bridegroom and best man were in Army uniforms, both having recently returned from overseas service. Mr. Quimby and Mr. Stairs were buddies in the service, starting from Fort Devens they went overseas together and fought through five campaigns: Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. They finally separated when Mr. Stairs returned to this country a month earlier than the bridegroom. Both received honorable discharges. A reception immediately followed the ceremony when ice cream and cake was served, and when the bridal couple received many attractive and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Quimby plan to remain with the Sanborns for the present.
