Beulah Way And Amos F. Churchill Wed In Portland

PORTLAND, Jan. 14 [1946] -- Miss Beulah Way, South Portland teacher, and Amos F. Churchill, Auburn, formerly of Washburn were married Christmas Eve at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Harry Way, 120 Lancaster street, Portland. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. John W. Hyssong, pastor of the First Baptist church, Portland. The single ring ceremony was used. The attendants were a brother and sister of the bride, Bliss Way and Miss Elsie Way, both of Portland. The house was attractively decorated with evergreen and cut flowers.

The bride wore a suit of light blue, with black accessories and wore a corsage of American beauty roses. Miss Elsie Way wore a gold colored suit with black accessories and a corsage of blue jonquils. Mrs. Way wore black with a corsage of blue jonquils.

The bridegroom, employed by the National Cash Register Co., in Auburn, makes his home at 46 High street, Auburn. He received his discharge last Sept. 25 after three years of military service, 23 months of which were in Europe where he won the Bronze Star. He is the son of Lewis Churchill of Easton. He attended school at Washburn.

The bride is a former resident of Sherman. She attended Presque Isle Normal School and has taught school for several years, the past two in South Portland.
