The Rev. N. E. Felch, pastor of the Washburn Baptist church performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate family.
The bride was dressed in a full length gown of white net over crepe and wore a lace coronet with pearls. She carried a bride's bouquet of pink and white sweet peas with narcissus.
The bridesmaid, Audrey Chaney of Caribou, wore a peach jersey dress with white lace coronet. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The best man was Herman Carman, Jr., a brother of the bride. The bride's mother wore a powder blue dress and complemented it with a corsage of pink carnations.
A reception was held following the ceremony at which a large number of relatives and friends attended. Many useful and attractive gifts were received. Miss Marion Munson acted as hostess and introduced the bridal party. Miss Roberta Bagley was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Wendell Carman received the gifts. Mrs. James Plissey, Miss Velva Plissey and Miss Maxine Carman assisted Mrs. Carman in serving refreshments.
The bride was graduated from Washburn high school in 1939. She trained in nursing at the Norwood Hospital, Norwood, Mass., and since her graduation has been nursing in Massachusetts.
The groom has recently received his honorable discharge from the army. They left Tuesday for Jonestown where they plan to make their home.
