WED AT PRESQUE ISLE--Miss Thelma Ruth Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thomas of Presque Isle, and Alfred Davis Wilhelmsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frethjof Wilhelmsen of Presque Isle, were married recently at a candlelight ceremony at the United Baptist church in Presque Isle. An archway of evergreen adorned with pink and white flowers, and a white fence making a garden effect with baskets of flowers and candles, made a pretty setting for the ceremony. Rev. Philip Hughey read the double ring service. Miss Valeda Finnemore was maid of honor and the brides maids were Miss Ella Grendel and Miss Ruth Acherman. Elro Wilhelmsen, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Sterling Acherman and Morley Thomas. Flower girls were Gloria Bolier and Marjorie Wilhelmsen. Miss Orpha Nickerson played the wedding music and Miss Mildred Barnes and Miss Louise Barnes sang. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church vestry. Miss Louise Barnes was in charge of the guest book. The bride's cake, made by the bride's mother, was served by Miss Mildred Barnes after the bride and bridegroom cut the first slice. Also serving were Miss Clara Acherman, Miss Pauline Langley, Miss Ruth Jordan and Miss Irene Jordan. Miss Frances Briggs and Miss Glenna Briggs were in charge of the gift table.
