Mrs. Ray Day, Mrs Alberta McNeal, Mrs. Linwood Currier and their mother, Mrs. Hittie
Stoddard were in New York the past week and attended the wedding of Vernald L. Stoddard, son
of Mrs. Stoddard. The bride was Miss Barbara Jean Ganoung, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin
Ganoung of Port Crane, New York. The wedding occurred May 1st [1946]. The Rev. L.
Armstrong performed the double ring service against a background of mixed flowers, ferns and
lighted candelabra. Miss Paula Stiles was the bride's attendant and Jack Ganoung, brother of the
bride, was best man. A reception followed at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Edward
Wayman. The bridal couple enjoyed a few day's honeymoon trip and are now residing in
Washburn.
