ANNOUNCE ENGAGEMENT -- Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Bull, Parsons road, Presque Isle, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Lucy Winnifred Bull, to John Eugene McCuen, son of Dr. and Mrs. Brooks McCuen, 109 Hampshire road, Syracuse, N.Y.

Miss Bull, a native of Presque Isle, was graduated from the Aroostook State Normal school. She majored in education at Aurora (Ill.) College, where she received her A. B. Degree. At Boston University, she was given her master in education degree. For the past two years Miss Bull has been supervisor of elementary education, State Department of Education. Prior to that she taught school in Presque Isle, and Mapleton and also in Heath, Mass. Miss Bull is a member of the South Presque Grange and of the Maine State grange, Pi Lambda Theta, Boston University chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma and also several educational associations.

Mr. McCuen was born in Syracuse, N.Y. He attended the public schools there and was graduated from Green Mountain Junior college at Poultney, Vt., and received his B.S. degree at Cornell University. Mr. McCuen is Survey Party chief in charge of conservation surveys, Rhode Island, U.S. Department of Agriculture. Mr. McCuen is now located at Newport, R.I., where his headquarters are maintained. He has also been engaged in a similar capacity in the states of Maryland and Virginia. He is a member of the Asasia fraternity at Cornell.

The wedding will take place in Presque Isle in June.
