MR. AND MRS. LLOYD VINCENT SHARPE
Miss Alice Chase of Providence, R. I., was at the piano and Miss Doris Klang also of Providence was soloist.
Miss Gladys Little of Congers, N. Y., was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Albert Spaeder, and Miss Bernice Watrous of Mystic, Conn. Stanley Paxton, brother of the bride, was best man and the ushers were Harold Bither of Houlton and Philip De Pauphelio of New York City.
The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her step-father, was gowned in white satin, with full length sleeves and a long train. Her full length veil, edged in lace fell from a pearl-studded tiara. She carried a shower bouquet of white bridal roses with streamers of rose buds.
Miss Gladys Little wore a pale pink taffeta gown with lavender rose buds on it. She wore a tiara of pink flowers with a shoulder length veil edged in matching lace. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.
Mrs. Albert Spaeder wore a blue gown of net over taffeta with a bouffant skirt. She wore a matching shoulder-length veil with a tiara of blue flowers. Miss Bernice Watrous wore a pink gown of the same style. Her shoulder-length veil fell from a tiara of pink flowers. Both bridesmaids carried bouquets of yellow roses.
Miss Chase and Miss Klang wore gowns of aqua, with corsages of talisman roses.
Mrs. Barrere, mother or the bride, wore a navy blue pin-stripe suit and navy blue accessories.
A reception at the church followed the ceremony. The dining room was decorated in pink and white, and Mrs. Winston Hunter of Providence and Miss Clarabell Orcer of Mars Hill presided. A beautifully decorated, three-tier wedding cake was served after the first slice was cut by the bride and bridegroom.
Mr. and Mrs. Sharpe left for a four day wedding trip to Connecticut and Maine.
The bride chose for traveling a steel blue suit with pink accessories and complimented her costume with a corsage of white sweet peas.
The bride is a graduate of Congers high school, Congers, N. Y., also of Zion Bible Institute, East
Providence, class of '45 and has been out in full time evangelistic work with the Zion Evangelistic Girls' trio.
Mr. Sharpe is also a graduate of Zion Bible Institute, class of '45 and has also been out in evangelistic work for the past year.
Among the guests was the Rev. Christine A. Gibson, president of the Zion Bible Institute.
