ENGAGED TO BE WED -- Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson of Crouseville announce the engagement of their daughter, Ruth B. to Frederick A. Carlton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carlton, also of Crouseville.

Miss Thompson was graduated from Washburn high school and for the past year has been employed by the New England Telephone company, at Presque Isle.

Mr. Carlton recently returned from 3 years' service overseas, with the U. S. 9th Air Force. He is engaged in farming with his father.

No date has been set for the wedding.
