Rev. Bernard Patton of Presque Isle officiated, reading the double ring service. Baskets of gladioli, white roses, and streamers of pink and white ribbon were decorations.
Miss Joyce Hale played the wedding march and also accompanied Miss Geneva Anderson and Miss Della Hichtower, who sang "O Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly."
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was gowned in white satin and net with a bouquet of white roses. Mrs. Delton Jones, maid of honor, wore teal blue and carried yellow daisies.
Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held, largely attended by relatives and friends. Mrs. Claude Jones was in charge of the guest book and Mrs. Clinton Parsons, the gifts. Mrs. Delton Jones cut the wedding cake the traditional first slice having been cut by the bride and bridegroom.
Mrs. Drake attended the Caribou high school and for the past two years has been employed in Caribou.
Mr. Drake was graduated from Washburn high school and has just returned from two years' overseas service with the U. S. Army. He is engaged with his father in farming at Washburn, where they will reside.
