LOVELY BRIDE--Mrs. John C. Ryan. the former Ardine McDonald, was married recently at Westover Field, Mass., to Capt. John F. Ryan at the air base chapel.

Ardine McDonald Of Washburn Wed To Army Air Force Veteran

WASHBURN, Sept. 30 [1946] -- Miss Ardine McDonald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy A. McDonald of this town, became the bride of Capt. John F. Ryan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Ryan of Oak Park, Ill. in a double-ring ceremony performed recently at the base chapel at Westover Field, Mass. The bride wore a street-length dress of white jersey and a shoulder length veil. Her corsage was of red roses, white sweet peas and forget-me-nots. Miss Ida Chandler, friend of the bride was maid of honor, and wore yellow jersey with a shoulder length veil. Her corsage was of red roses, white carnations and forget-me-nots.

Capt. Eugene Cotton of Indianapolis. Ind., was best man.

Following the ceremony the couple left for Fort Dix. N. J., where Capt. Ryan received his discharge. They visited New York city and Washington, D. C., then spent two weeks with the bride's parents in Washburn. The bride chose as her traveling outfit, a blue gabardine suit with white accessories.

The bride is a graduate of Washburn high school and for the past two years has been employed at the Presque Isle Army Air base.

Capt. Ryan is a graduate of Oak Park high school and New York University, and also attended the University of Illinois. For the past three and a half years he has served in the U. S. Army Air

Force, one year of that time being spent, in Greenland.

The couple will reside in Champaign, Ill., where Mr. Ryan will continue his studies in chemical engineering at the U. of I.
