PRETTY WASHBURN BRIDE--Mrs. Merle Dickinson, of Perham, the former Elizabeth B. Manzer of Washburn, was married recently in an attractive home ceremony, Rev. Read Blackstone officiating.

Elizabeth Manzer Of Washburn Is Wed In Pretty Home Ceremony

WASHBURN, Oct. 20 [1946] Miss Elizabeth B. Manzer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Manzer, of Wilder street was married recently in a charming ceremony at the home of her parents, to Merle Dickinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Perley Dickinson of Perham, Rev. Read Blackstone of Perham officiated at the double-ring candlelight service.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a gown of white satin and net with finger-tip veil and a necklace of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

Mrs. Douglas Chapman, as matron of honor, carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums with a blue crepe and lace gown. Douglas Chapman was best man.

Mrs. Dickinson, mother of the bridegroom, was gowned in flowered jersey with corsage of gladioli. Mrs. Manzer, mother of the bride wore a sequin-trimmed gown with corsage.

Miss Helen Knox was accompanist for Miss Mavis Chase in singing "Because" and also played the tradition wedding march.

Mrs. Dickinson was graduated from Washburn high school and has been employed at home. Mr.

Dickinson attended Washburn high school and has recently been discharged from the armed forces having served four years in the Pacific area.

Only immediate relatives, attended the reception which followed.

Refreshment included a four-tier wedding cake made by Mrs. Uno Espling of New Sweden and served by Mrs. Margaret Chapman after the first slice was cut bu the bride and bride-groom.

After a short wedding-trip. Mr. and Mrs. Dickinson will make their home in Perham, where they have purchased a cottage and where Mr. Dickinson is employed.
