Ruby Northrup Recent Bride Of Washburn Man

WASHBURN, Nov. 24 [1946] -- The United church at Belleisle. N. B. was the scene recently of the marriage of Miss Ruby Myrtle Northrup, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Northrup of Belleisle Creek, and George Albert Harrison, son of Mrs. Vela Harrison of Washburn. The bride wore a slipper length gown of white satin and finger tip veil. Her bouquet was of better-time roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Olive Northrup of Kingston, N. B., wore a pink sheer slipper length gown and her bouquet was Johanna roses. The bridegroom was attended by his brother-in-law, Homer Johnson of Dover-Foxcroft. The bride's mother wore a dress of alpaca crepe in British blue. The bridegroom's mother wore a black crepe dress, and both mothers wore corsages of yellow and bronze mums. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. For going away the bride wore a brown outfit with a corsage of bronze and yellow mums. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison will live in Washburn, where Mr. Harrison is employed.
