ENGAGEMENT -- Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Ackerman of Presque Isle, announce the engagement of their oldest daughter, Ruth Ackerman, to Wilbert Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Anderson of New Sweden. Miss Ackerman was graduated from Presque Isle high school in 1939. She is now employed by the New England Telephone and Telegram company of Presque Isle. Mr. Anderson attended school in New Sweden. He was inducted into the Army in June 1942 and spent three years and seven months with the Air Force as supply clerk. He spent two years in the European theatre of operation receiving his discharge in February, 1946. The wedding will take place at the Presque Isle United Baptist church, April 15 [1947].
