BETROTHED--Mr. and Mrs. R. B. McIntyre of Washburn have announced the engagement of their daughter, Gaynel A. McIntyre, R.N., to Darold B. Hocking, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred C. Hocking of St. George. Miss McIntyre, a graduate of Washburn high school and the Knox Hospital School of Nursing, served with the Army Nurse Corps in Manila. P. I. She is now with the Fort Fairfield clinic. Mr. Hocking is a graduate of St. George high school, Hebron academy and Colby college, and served 42 months in the United States Coast Guard as a lieutenant in both European and Asiatic areas. He is now employed by John Meehan and Son, Clark Island.
