The bride wore a teal blue suit with matching accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.
Mrs. Carter is a graduate of Washburn high school in the class of 1946 and is employed by the New England Telephone and Telegraph company, Presqure Isle.
Mr. Carter attended the public schools of Washburn and is a veteran of World War II, having served three years with the U. S. Navy.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Farley, Washburn, Mrs. Farley being an aunt of the bridrgroom. Many gifts were received. Mrs. Carl Whitten, Jr., and Miss Maxine Farley had charge of the gift table. Mrs. Linwood Dow, sister of the bride, had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Norman McNeal, Mrs. Arvilla Carter, Miss Wilda, Miss Arlene Carter and Mrs. Alberta McNeal presided over the refreshments.
Out of town guests were: Miss Muriel and Miss Geraldine Brown, James England, Miss Phyllis Barton. Mr. and Mrs. Addington McNeal, Mr. and Mrs. Charles McNeal, Rudolph and Eugene McNeal all of Caribou: Charles Goodall, and Ray Harris of Island Falls, and Newman Louis of Waterville.
