Miss Ruth L. Spear Is Wed In Presque Isle

PRESQUE ISLE, May 30 [1947] -- Miss Ruth L. Spear and Harlan W. Boynton, both of this city, were married recently in the parsonage of the United Baptist church in a ceremony attended by members of the immediate families. The Rev. Philip C. Hughey, Sr., officiated.

The couple was attended by Glennice Boynton, sister of the bridegroom, and Marshall Spear, brother of the bride.

The bride was attractive in a navy gabardine suit with white accessories. She wore a corsage of yellow orchids. Her bridesmaid wore a light blue suit and white accessories with a corsage of pink sweetheart roses.

The bride's mother wore a dusty rose crepe dress, complemented with a corsage of sweet peas. The bride-groom's mother wore a royal blue suit with navy accessories and a corsage of sweet peas.

A reception was held in the evening in the vestry of the United Baptist church, which was attended by a large number of friends. Immediately after the reception Mr. and Mrs. Boynton left on a motor trip to Montreal. They will be at home to friends at 44 Park street.
