Natalie Woodman Becomes Bride Of Merritt Thomas

WASHBURN, May 11 [1947] -- Mr. and Mrs. Wallace E. Woodman have announced the marriage of their daughter, Natalie J. to Merritt R. Thomas son of Mr. and Mrs. Orin Thomas of Rutland, Vt.

The ceremony was performed Saturday afternoon at the Advent parsonage, Crouseville, in the presence of the immediate family. The Rev. Woodrow DeVoe officiated at the double-ring service.

The couple was attended by Miss Margaret Howard of Piermont, N. H., and Belford Woodman, brother of the bride. Saturday evening a banquet was held at the Northeastland hotel in Presque Isle for the bridal-party and near relatives.

The tables were attractive with cut flowers and a large wedding cake occupied a prominent place.

Thirty-eight guests were present including Mr. and Mrs. Merritt R Thomas, Miss Margaret Howard, Belford Woodman, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Woodmen, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dickinson, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Porter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Perkins, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Perkins, son Richard, Mr. and Mrs; W. C. Crouse, Mrs. Bertha Woodman, Mrs. Pearl Marino, Miss Bernice Woodman, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carlton, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Carlton, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bull, Ellsworth Woodman, Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn Woodman, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Woodmen, sons Frederick and Chester, Miss Phyllis Woodman; Rev, and Mrs. Woodrow DeVoe.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas will make their home in Rutland, Vt., Where Mr. Thomas is engaged in dairying

Mrs. Thomas was graduated from Washburn high school and has attended Katherine Gibbs secretarial school in Boston. Mr. Thomas was graduated from Rutland high school.

A shower party, honoring Mrs. Thomas prior to her marriage was held recently at the home of Mrs. Frederick Carlton, Crouseville road. Many gifts were received. Refreshments were served.
