Maxine Farley Is Wed In Caribou

CARIBOU, June 18 [1947] -- Miss Maxine Farley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Vernon Farley of Washburn became the bride of Ray F. Harris, son of Frank Harris of Robinson, at the Pentecostal parsonage in Caribou on June 10th, the Rev. Robert Pinkham officiated, reading the double ring ceremony.

Miss Lois Harris, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid and Edger V. Farley, Jr., brother of the bride, acted as best man. The bride was attired in a grey suit with matching accessories and wore a corsage of pink roses.

The bridesmaid was dressed in a blue suit with matching accessories and wore a corsage of yellow roses.

A reception was held Saturday evening, June 14, at the home of the bride's parents.

Miss Arlene Carter had charge of the guest book and gift table. Mrs. Ervin Barnes and Mrs. John Stoddard had charge of the refreshments, assisted by Mrs. Muriel Flewelling. Miss Meredith Carter, Miss Joyce Carter, Mrs. Constance Nevers and Mrs. Delbert Carter.

Out of town guests attending were Miss Kay McGary, Fort Fairfield; Miss Meredith Carter, Miss

Joyce Carter and Mr. Ivan Carter Presque Isle; Miss Alda Carter, Portage; and Miss Bernadette Violette, Edmundston, N. B.

Mrs. Harris is a graduate of Washburn high school. Mr. Harris served 28 months in the Seabees of

which 18 months were served in the Pacific.

Mr. and Mrs. Harris will reside in Washburn.
