Miss Catherine O. Freeman Bride of James Hutcheon

Becomingly attired in a gray gabardine suit with green accessories and gardenia corsage, Miss Catherine O. Freeman became the bride of James L. Hutcheon in a double ring ceremony Saturday morning, at 9:45 o'clock at the rectory of St. Mary's church, the Rev. John J. Harris officiating. The ceremony was attended by the immediate families and a few close friends.

The bride was attended by Miss Ada Beaulieu, who wore woodland green with burgundy accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Freeman, mother of the bride, wore a fuchsia gown with feather hat. Her corsage was of white poms. Mrs. Hutcheon, mother of the groom, was gowned in black crepe, green sequin trimmed with black accessories and she wore a bracelet corsage of fuchsia poms. The bridegroom was attended by his brother-in-law, Thomas F. Bean of Westfield. A reception was held in the private dining room at the Northeastland hotel immediately following the ceremony, attended by 150 guests. The wedding cake was first cut by the bride and groom, and was served by Mrs. Philip Seavey and Mrs. Carl Weick, who presided at the refreshment table. Miss Maude Stacy was in charge of the guest book and Miss Alice Oak and Mrs. Abe Etscovitz were in charge of the gifts.

Upon their return from a motor trip to Boston, Mass. And Hartford, Conn., Mr. and Mrs. Hutcheon will reside at the residence of Mrs. William C. Jarvis, Cedar street.

Daughter of Mrs. Mary Freeman of Washburn, the bride was educated at St, Joseph's Academy

in Portland and took nurse's training at the Eastern Maine General hospital, Bangor, affiliating at the Boston Lying-In of the Massachusetts General hospital in Boston. She has been engaged in general nursing at the Presque Isle General hospital and more recently has held the position of record librarian at the same institution.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis A. Hutcheon of this city. He was graduated from the

Presque Isle High school and the University of Maine. He served 4 « years in the A.A.F. Mr. Hutcheon is employed by Maine Potato Growers, Inc., as assistant manager of the Seed Department.

Prior to her marriage the bride was honored at a dinner party in the private dining room at the Hotel Commander.

The Misses Maude Stacy, Ruth Steeves, and Ada Beaulieu were co-hostesses at a combination bridal shower and Hallowe'en party. The honor guest was presented sterling silverware from her coworkers at the Presque Isle General hospital.

The following were present at the shower: the Misses Lillian M. Manus, Zora McEachern, Alice Oakes, Freda Britton, Alfreda Roy, Alice Laflin. Cecile Lemire, Nellie Perreault, Irene Beaulieu, and Teresa Sawyer, Mesdames Genevieve Morin, Gladys Morton, Anne Stone, Georgena Lyons, Irene Lightbody, the guest of honor and the hostesses. Others invited were unable to attend.
