ENGAGED -- Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lavway of Crouseville announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth to Jasper Umphrey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Umphrey of Washburn. Miss Lavway is a senior at Washburn high school. Mr. Umphrey has recently been discharged from the armed forces where he served 19 months in the Pacific Theatre of Operations at Korea. He is now engaged in farming with his father in Washburn. The wedding plans to take place in August.
