ARCHWAY DECORATED
An archway was decorated with white entwined with bridal wreath. Tall baskets of lilac and gladioli carried out the decoration motif.
The traditional wedding march was played by Mrs. Arthur Plissey.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, James Plissey, wore a gown of white nylon marquisette and satin en train, with a matching fingertip veil caught to a coronet of crystals and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and baby's breath caught, with white satin streamers.
Mrs. Orrick Stoddard, sister of the bride, was matron of honor wearing a gown of blue nylon marquisette with matching lace mitts. She wore a shoulder length veil of matching nylon marquisette and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and baby's breath caught with blue satin streamers.
NIECES AS BRIDESMAIDS
Bridesmaids were nieces of the bride, Miss Velva Plissey and Miss Lois Russell. Miss Plissey wore a gown of orchid organdy, while Miss Russell was attired in a pink gown. Both bridesmaids carried colonial bouquets.
The bridegroom was attended by Otis Russell, Jr.
The bride's mother was attired in a dress of black and white sheer, and she wore a corsage of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Drake, mother of the bridegroom, wore navy blue and complemented her dress with a corsage of red rosebuds.
At a wedding reception, Miss Ruth Pooler was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Vernal Curtis and Mrs. Wilbur Drake were in charge of the gift table.
A three-tiered wedding cake was served after the traditional first slice was cut by the bridal couple. Assisting in serving were Mrs. Otis Russell, Mrs. James Plissey, Mrs. Arthur Plissey, Miss Carolyn Russell, Miss Helen and Betty Drake.
Mr. and Mrs. Drake left, by automobile for a wedding trip through the New England States. The bride chose for traveling a blue suit with pink accessories complementing her outfit with a corsage of pink rosebuds.
The couple will reside at Russell's apartments on Main street.
