MRS. BERNARD HILL GRAY -- The wedding of Miss Cheslia W. Rouse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rouse of Washburn, and Bernard Hill Gray, son of Olin Gray of South Penobscot, took place Tuesday evening at the First Baptist church, Bangor. The couple will reside at 83 Cottage street, Bangor, after June 31.

Cheslia Rouse Becomes Bride Of Bernard Gray In Church Ceremony

Baskets of white snapdragons and gladioli and candelabra trimmed with ferns decorated the First Baptist church of Bangor Tuesday evening for the wedding of Miss Cheslia W. Rouse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Rouse of Washburn and Bernard Hill Gray, son of Olin Gray of South Penobscot. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Lewis M. Brehaut.

The traditional wedding marches were played by Mrs. Carl Hatch, soloist, sang "Always" and "Because" accompanied by Mrs. Charles Stokes.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of traditional white satin en train which was styled with sweetheart neckline and long, pointed sleeves. Her veil of bridal illusion was attached to a tiara of seed pearls and her bouquet was of white gladioli.

Mrs. Claudia Stoddard, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She was attired in a gown of peach taffeta and she carried a bouquet of salmon shaded gladioli.

The bridegroom was attended by Philip Smith and ushers were Earlen Stoddard, nephew of the bride, and Carold Leland.

A black dress with gold accessories was worn by the bride's mother who complimented her ensemble with a corsage of yellow carnations.

Mrs. Carold Leland was in charge of the guest book at the wedding reception which followed the ceremony at the church. The gift table was in charge of Mrs. Arthur Post, sister of the bride.

Assisting in serving were: Miss Clara Swan, Miss Mildred Bradford and Miss Avis Dinsmore.

The bridal couple left by automobile for a two weeks' wedding trip and upon their return will reside at 83 Cottage street after June 30. The bride chose a white ensemble as her traveling attire with which she wore a corsage of red roses.

Mrs. Gray was graduated from Washburn high school and Husson college where she was a member of Pi Rho Zeta. During the past year she has been teaching at Bucksport high school. Mr. Gray attended Gilman Commercial school and Husson college and served in the U. S. Navy during the war. He is employed at the U. S. Naval Reserve Armory.
