Becomes Bride of Clifton A. Lundgren In Church Ceremony

WOODLAND, June 27 [1948] -- Miss Leatha H. Everett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Everett, was married to Clifton A. Lundgren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustaf Lundgren of Woodland, Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock in Perham Baptist church in a double-ring ceremony read by the Rev. Oscar C. Wieden in the presence of close relatives and a few friends.

Mrs. Merle Dow played the Bridal Chorus from Wagner's "Lohengrin" and Mendelssohn's Wedding March. The altar was decorated with cut flowers and streamers. Chester Ringdahl, accompanied by Mrs. Herman Thorsen of New Sweden, sang "O Promise me," and Reed Blackstone sang a consecration hymn, accompanied by Mrs. Merle Dow.

The bride, whom her father gave in marriage, wore a white satin princess dress with pearl-embroidered neckline and a fingertip veil of silk illusion with wide Chantilly-style lace border caught to a coronet cap embroidered with pearls. She also wore a single string of pearls, and carried a bouquet of wild orchids.

Her maid of honor, Miss Marion Lundgren, sister of the bridegroom, wore pink organdie with pink net hat and carried white roses. Gordon Everett, brother of the bride, was best man. and ushers were Edward Lundgren, brother of the bridegroom, and Clifford McIntire. The flower-girl, Charlene Condoy, wore white taffeta with a pink satin ribbon in her hair.

The bride's mother wore navy crepe with a corsage of pink English daisies and pinks, and the bride-groom's mother was gowned in lavender crepe with a corsage of orchid and yellow iris.

At the reception in the home of the bride's parents decoration were pink and white crepe paper and cut flowers. Miss Clarice Lundgern of Dover-Foxcroft, sister of the bridegroom, had charge of the guest-book, and Mrs. Edward Lundgren and Mrs. Elvira Everett of East Corinth, the gifts. Assisting ni receiving were Miss Grace Norbeck and Mrs. Clifford McInitire, with the young couple's parents in the receiving line with them. Several friends of the bride assisted with the serving, and the bridal party cut and served the bride's cake made by her mother.

During the reception a program include trio music, two readings, a violin duet, and two solos. Nearly 450 attended the reception.

After a week's motor trip Mr. and Mrs. Lundgren will be at home July in North Woodland. For traveling the bride chose a rose and blue ensemble with white accessories.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Lundgren are graduates of Caribou High school he in 1931 and she in 1939. She has been active in church work at Perham Baptist church and is studying commercial art. He has been prominent in New Sweden Baptist church and is now employed at the home farm.
