ENGAGED TO WED -- Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Barton of Caribou announce the engagement of their daughter, Phyllis Marie, above, to Wendell Blackstone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Blackstone of Perham.

Miss Barton is a graduate of Fort Kent High school and of Bob Jones university, Greenville, S. C. She taught one year in the public school of Limestone and at present is teaching in the Washburn Grammar school. Mr. Blackstone is a graduate of Washburn High school and a veteran of the Second World War, having served several months in the United States and one and a half years in Italy. He is engaged in farming with his father. The wedding will take place in June.
